about adventurous concepts
Adventurous Concepts (AC) is Florida's longest running organization dedicated to creating, producing, and marketing adventure races in the state of Florida. Jim Molaschi, John Walker, and Mike Aspinger founded the company in 1999, which transferred ownership to Elias Jimenez and David Gomez (aka Gomez) in 2004.
Elias and Gomez ensured the company's two longest running adventure races in Florida would continue. Dennis Godber, another key member of the family, has been instrumental in making C2C a continued reality. Among the three, they have a combined twenty plus years of racing experience and over fifteen years of organizing adventure races.
The company produces three races which include the
Howl at the Moon, a USARA National Championship qualifier and Florida's oldest running adventure race, the
Florida Coast to Coast, a Checkpoint Tracker series event, a USARA National Championship qualifier, and the state's longest adventure race, and
The Big Scramble, an urban charity race where teams decipher clues and visit locations throughout South Beach.
Adventurous Concept's guiding principle is to create events that allow participants to share experiences, shift personal paradigms, manage inner thoughts, explore natural environments, exercise team dynamics, provide personal insights, and, more importantly, create positive memorable experiences for years to come.
This year we are honoring the memory of John A. Walker, who recently passed away and, as a tribute, we will be donating a portion of each team's registration fee to the foundation in his name.
